We are once again extremely angered and discouraged by yet another report of failures in the global anti-doping system. Today’s report by the The New York Times alleging that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and World Aquatics covered up more Chinese positive doping tests, impacts the credibility of clean and fair sport and--more importantly--impacts all athletes--including the members of Team USA.
As our athletes currently compete on the largest global stage in Paris, they deserve the opportunity to do so with the knowledge that the competition is fair and in accordance with the rules. We will continue to work to ensure integrity for fair play for all athletes in all sports
