One for All: The Campaign for Team USA aims to empower athletes on the road to Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Colorado Springs, CO — The United States Olympic & Paralympic Foundation (USOPF), the philanthropic arm of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), is embarking on its most ambitious fundraising journey ever. With the goal of raising $500 million, this campaign seeks to propel Team USA toward unprecedented success at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

"As we embark on this ambitious journey, we are committed to transforming the athlete experience by prioritizing their health, performance, and career development," said Christine Walshe, president of the USOPF. "Our goal is to raise the bar for Team USA, ensuring our athletes have the resources and support they need to excel during every step of their journey on their way to the world stage."

Transforming the Athlete Experience

One for All: The Campaign for Team USA will revolutionize the athlete experience by raising funds for three pivotal areas: Athlete Health & Wellness, Sport Performance Innovation, and Athlete Career & Earnings. As an official philanthropic collaborator of the LA28 Organizing Committee, the foundation will support Team USA athletes, athlete programs and NGBs, ahead of and well beyond LA28.

“Our collaboration with the USOPF through the One for All campaign is pivotal in ensuring Team USA athletes have the best possible support as we head towards the LA28 Games,” said Janet Evans, LA28 Chief Athlete Officer. “By investing in their health, performance, and career opportunities, we are building a legacy that will empower our athletes to achieve unparalleled success and inspire future generations.”

An athlete who has benefitted from donor-funded resources is Paralympian Oksana Masters. The 17-time medalist regularly works with a sports psychology team to prepare for races, and she also received specialty medical care ahead of PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020.

“It means the absolute world to me that fans across our nation financially support athletes like me and Team USA. This would not be at all possible without them,” Masters said. “When we line up on the start line, I know that it is our fans who are making it possible for us to be there chasing our dreams.”

A Decade of Growth and Impact

Since its inception in 2013, the USOPF has raised over $370 million for Team USA athletes and programs, significantly contributing to the development and success of U.S. Olympians, Paralympians, and hopefuls.

The foundation’s efforts have led to substantial advancements, including an expanded mental health program that now encompasses hundreds of providers offering both in-person and virtual counseling. Additionally, 40 national sport organizations have benefited from donor-funded technology and data projects, providing Team USA with a competitive edge. The foundation has also supported countless athletes with tuition assistance, enabling them to pursue higher education alongside their athletic endeavors.

Mark and Mary Stevens, some of the first supporters of the organization’s philanthropic efforts, have played a significant role in these achievements. They recently renewed their commitment to Team USA with a record-breaking $25 million contribution, the largest in foundation history.

“As avid supporters of Team USA for over a decade, we’ve seen firsthand how our gifts have impacted U.S. Olympians and Paralympians, from world-class equipment and coaching to data projects that enhance athlete wellness,” said Mark Stevens. “The passion and energy of our community of supporters is extraordinary, and we can’t wait to help grow this support network for Team USA on the road to LA28.”

A Call to Action

Now, more than ever, is the time to rally behind Team USA. As we approach LA28, the support of the American public is crucial in making our team even stronger post-Closing Ceremony than it is today. Join us in this transformative journey and help celebrate the dedication, perseverance and excellence of our Olympians and Paralympians.

One for All: The Campaign for Team USA is not just a fundraising effort: it’s a call to unite as a nation in support of our athletes and our team. Together, we can ensure that the Olympic and Paralympic spirit continues to inspire future generations.
