Finalists Announced for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame, Class of 2025

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee today announced the finalists for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame, Class of 2025. The list includes 15 Olympians, nine Paralympians, three Olympic teams, three Paralympic teams, six legends, three coaches and three special contributors. 

 

"On behalf of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, we are proud to announce the finalists for induction into the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame, Class of 2025," said USOPC CEO Sarah Hirshland. "All of these remarkable athletes, teams and contributors have left a lasting legacy on Team USA and have helped shape the Olympic and Paralympic Movement. We celebrate their dedication to excellence and look forward to honoring the Class of 2025." 

 

The list of finalists was selected from more than 100 nominations received this year and includes those who were finalists for the last hall of fame induction ceremony in 2022. Through the next round of voting, the finalists list will be narrowed down to five Olympians, three Paralympians, one Olympic team, one Paralympic team, one legend, one coach and one special contributor for induction into the class of 2025.  

 
Team USA fans can cast their votes starting today and running through April 14 for the Olympian, Paralympian, Olympic team, and Paralympic team categories at TeamUSA.com/HOF to help determine the Class of 2025. 

 

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be officially inducted during a special ceremony on Saturday, July 12 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The weekend will also feature the 2025 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum's Fan Festival, taking place July 10-13 in Colorado Springs, known as Olympic City USA. The festival will feature special events, athlete appearances, and interactive experiences celebrating Team USA's rich history and legacy.

The finalists will be narrowed down to five Olympians, three Paralympians, one Olympic team, one Paralympic team, one legend, one coach and one special contributor for induction into the class of 2025.  

 

In addition to the public vote, U.S. Olympians, Paralympians and members of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic family will vote on the legend, coach and special contributor categories. The Olympic and Paralympic family includes the Team USA Athletes’ Commission, National Governing Bodies, the USOPC board of directors, the Paralympic Advisory Council and select members of the media. 

 

"The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Hall of Fame serves as a vital steward of Team USA’s storied legacy," said USOPC Board Chair Gene Sykes. "We are deeply grateful to all the finalists for their extraordinary dedication, for embodying the Olympic and Paralympic values, and for using sport as a force for positive change in their communities and beyond." 

 

The Class of 2025 will be announced on Tuesday, May 6, and inducted on Saturday, July 12, during a ceremony in Colorado Springs. Information for media interested in covering the induction will be shared in May.
