United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee Coronavirus Updates

Thanks to the dedication and diligence of our entire community, we safely and successfully supported Team USA through the Tokyo and Beijing Games – all while navigating the unique challenges posed by a global pandemic. With that, and in light of new CDC recommendations, we have updated our COVID-19 mitigation strategy to reflect the latest guidance, while also considering our experience and best practices of similar high-performance sport organizations.

We remain fully committed to providing athletes, staff and our entire Team USA community a safe, healthy and accessible environment. We will continue to follow the guidance of public health professionals, including the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention and local state health partners, as we closely monitor the environment and alter our policies to keep us all healthy and safe.

For more information, including detailed guidance based on CDC community level and risk profiles in your area, click on the Policies and Procedures tab below.

Athletes who have specific questions about their health and the risk factors should seek advice from their medical professionals and public health officials.

For general questions, please contact athleteservices@usopc.org – we want to be sure you have the information and answers you need.

Additionally, the Office of the Athlete Ombuds is available to provide independent and confidential advice to elite Team USA athletes on sport-related rules, policies and processes. Athletes may contact the Office of the Athlete Ombuds at ombudsman@usathlete.org or 719-866-5000 with questions, or visit usathlete.org for more information.
