• Visited Richland Elementary School in Quakertown, Pannsylvania, where she spoke to third grade students about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, shared her story, led participants in various physical activities, signed autographs and donated a sport package to the school.

Community engagement:

• Visited the Boys & Girls Club of Hobbs, New Mexico, and following a brief presentation, led the children in a game of goalball, a Paralympic sport played by blind athletes.

• Visited the Muscular Dystrophy Association summer camp in Groveland, California, where, following a presentation to the kids aged 6-17, joined the children for an archery demonstration and skills clinic.

• Visited the Kids on Bikes youth camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he shared his story with campers aged 11-14 from the Atlas Preparatory School and acted as the group’s honorary leader on a ride along the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.

• Visited the Leonardo da Vinci Charter School’s afterschool “FLASH” program in Chula Vista, California, where she shared her story with students in grades K-6, led participants in various physical activities, signed autographs and donated a sport package to the program.

• Visited Downey Family YMCA in Downey, California, where she delivered a brief presentation and then joined the children aged 7-9 in the pool as part of the club’s WetBall program, the YMCA’s version of USA Water Polo’s youth learn-to-play program, Splashball.
