Kendall Coyne

Sport: Ice Hockey

Hometown: Palos Heights, Ill.

 

Olympic Highlights:

  • Two-time Olympian (2014, 2018)
  • Two-time Olympic medalist (1 gold, 1 silver)

 

Community engagement:

  • Visited Palos East Elementary School in Palos Heights, Illinois, and gave an inspirational talk to the approximately 680 students in grades K-5.  She also led a "shoot the puck" hockey demonstration and donated a box of brand new sports equipment to the school district.



Kali Flanagan

Sport: Ice hockey

Hometown: Burlington, Mass.

Community Engagement: 

  • Visited the Boys & Girls Club in Salem, NH to teach a sports activity and inspire the approximately 70 kids to work hard on and off the field of play, and also donated brand new sports equipment.

Community engagement:

  • Visited Lannove Elementary School in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and led an assembly with approximately 240 students to talk about her story and donate brand new sports equipment.



Noah Hoffman 

Sport: Cross-country skiing

Hometown: Aspen, Colo.

  • Two-time Olympian (2014, 2018)

 

Community Engagement: 

  • Worked with Youth Enrichment Services (YES) in Boston, MA to lead a summer track practice for 10-13 year olds in the program, as well as speak about his Olympic experiences and the value of hard work, and donate brand new sports equipment. *rescheduled due to weather. 

 




Chris Kinney

Community Engagement: 

  • Visited the Boys and Girls Club of Johnson City for an inspirational talk, question and answer session and sport demonstration with approx. 80 kids, and also donated brand new sports equipment to the organization.

Sport: Freestyle skiing 

Hometown: West Dover, Vt

  • Two-time Olympian (2014, 2018)
  • Olympic silver medalist (2014)

 

Community engagement:

  • Visited McPolin Elementary School in Park City, Utah, and met with high achieving students, and then did an assembly with the entire K-2 grades to talk about her story and donate brand new sports equipment to the school.

Community Engagement:

  • Visited the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club in Champaign, Illinois, and spoke to approx. 150 kids ages 9-18 about her Paralympic journey. She facilitated a question and answer session, led the kids in sport demonstration, and also donated brand new sports equipment to the club. Read more here

Hometown: Douglasville, Ga.

  • Three-time Olympian (2010, 2014, 2018)
  • Two-time Olympic medalist (2 silvers, 1 bronze)

 

Community engagement:

  • Visited her former elementary school Arbor Station in Douglasville, Georgia, where she met with approximately one hundred 5th grade students, gave an inspirational talk, led physical activities, and donated a box of brand new sports equipment.

Community Engagement:

  • Visited the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club in St. Louis, where he spoke to approximately 100 kids about the Paralympics and sled hockey, the importance of working hard to overcome adversity. He also led the students in a sports activity to encourage healthy living, donated brand new sports equipment and showed the kids his three gold medals. Read more here

Community Engagement:

  • Visited Ice Hockey In Harlem, an organization dedicated to improving the social and academic well being of children from the Harlem community through ice hockey. Led a floor hockey clinic for 25 kids, and also spoke to the group about healthy living, hard work and the importance of academics. She also donated brand new sports equipment to the organization.   • Visited his former elementary school in Musson Elementary in Rochester, Michigan, where he led an assembly of more than 500 students, talked about his story, interacted with the students, and donated a box of brand new sports equipment to the school.

Community engagement:

  • Visited his former high school Earl Wooster in Reno, Nevada, where he met with the approximately 30 members of the ski and mountain bike clubs to lead a skills session and demonstration. Afterwards, he spoke at an all-school assembly where he gave an inspirational talk and donated brand new sport-specific equipment to the school.
