COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A reminder that the application deadline for non-media rights-holder (ENR) credentials for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 is Nov. 1, 2024, while the deadline for the Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 is Dec. 6, 2024. The application, as well as details on the USOPC’s allocation of non-media rights-holder (ENR) credentials, for both the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 can be found below.

U.S. press organizations must apply for ENR accreditation via the application form by Nov. 1 for the Olympic Winter Games and by Dec. 6 for the Paralympic Winter Games, and for written and photo accreditation by Dec. 6, 2024, to be considered for the initial allocation. You will receive a confirmation email after submitting to keep for your records, and we expect to share allocation results in early 2025. If you would like to verify that your application was received, please email Accreditation@usopc.org.

1. Non-Media Rights-Holders – ENR accreditation

Please note that any Olympic Winter Games ENR requests submitted after Nov. 1, 2024, will not be eligible for first-round allocation and will be added to a waitlist. The Paralympic Winter Games ENR accreditation deadline is Dec. 6.  To apply for ENR accreditation to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, please utilize THIS FORM

If you are a non-MRH and you are interested in covering the Olympic or Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, please read the following information carefully as the process for non-MRH accreditation has changed.

For Milano Cortina 2026, interested non-MRH organizations that wish to cover the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games should now apply to their respective NOCs/NPCs for ENR accreditation. The NOCs and NPCs, which is the USOPC for U.S.-based media, will then evaluate their applications and will send their priority list to the IOC and IPC. Once all requests have been received from each individual NOC/NPC, the IOC and IPC will review all the applications and will take the final decision on the non-MRH organizations to be accredited based on a pre-determined overall quota. The IOC and IPC will then confirm to the NOC/NPC their approved non-MRH applicants. The NOC/NPC will in turn notify the non-MRH organization of the final decision.

As mentioned earlier, the quota in this category is very limited, and not every non-MRH organization that applies to their NOC/NPC for accreditation will receive it. Strict timelines apply: the window for non-MRH organizations to apply for Olympic Winter Games accreditation through their respective NOCs is Sept. 18 to Nov. 1, 2024, while the Paralympic accreditation window remains open until Dec. 6, 2024. The USOPC will then be notified of the IOC’s and IPC's decisions by Jan. 15, 2025.

A limited quota of press accreditations is reserved for non-Media Rights-Holders (non-MRH). It should be noted that these accreditations are for non-MRH (television and radio organizations only). Independent film/documentary makers, production companies and content creators do not fall under this category and are not accredited by the IOC.

Non-MRH are not allowed to take professional video equipment into Olympic and Paralympic venues and cannot film, record or broadcast from within Olympic venues, as outlined in the News Access Rules. Accredited non-MRH are permitted to take professional video equipment into the Main Press Centre (MPC) and use it there and may broadcast all or portions of press conferences that take place in the MPC. Before receiving an ENR accreditation, non-MRH must indicate their acceptance of the Television and Radio News Access Rules for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 by signing an undertaking. Without the signed undertaking, accreditation will not be granted.

The NOC will be the Responsible Organization for the remainder of the Press by Name process starting on June 9, 2025. The Press by Name forms will be sent by the Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee to the NOCs/NPCs, which will complete them on behalf of the accredited non-MRH and press organizations. The forms should be returned by the NOCs/NPCs to the Organizing Committee by Sept. 12, 2025.
